Is your community group looking for objective information about voting or other important issues? 

The role of the LWVMC Speakers Bureau is to: 

• Raise the League’s visibility within the community

• Encourage active participation in government, from voting to running for office.

• Advance understanding of public policy issues and strengthen their impact through education and advocacy.

• Provide voter education

Trained volunteers of LWVMC are eager to speak to youth groups, schools, churches, companies, neighborhood associations, and other groups.

LWVMC offers insightful, nonpartisan presentations on a range of timely topics such as

• Introduction to the League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County

• The League of Women Voters History and Mission

• The History of Voting Rights

• All about voting 

• Introduction to Voting for New Voters 

• Unite and Rise:  Defending Democracy 

• National Popular Vote

• Most Dangerous Women (video) 

Presentations can be adapted to meet your group’s needs.

Our volunteer speakers do not expect an honorarium and are not able to accept one.  If it is customary for you to provide an honorarium, please consider a donation to the League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County.
